You may be interested in reading this in-depth report investigating the impact of current red deer densities on peatlands and woodlands with a specific emphasis on how grazing pressures affect the sequestration, storage and emissions of greenhouse gases. The report, commissioned by LINK, was compiled by Tom Edwards, ecological consultant, who for 15 years worked as a researcher on rural and environmental policy in the Scottish Parliament.
